The geographic journal Quaestiones Geographicae, established in 1974, has received its first Impact Factor equalling 1 (5-year IF = 1.2) as calculated by ClarivateTM's Journal Citation Reports 2023. The primary objective of Quaestiones Geographicae is to help Polish and foreign scientists to promote their achievements in the global scientific community.
Quaestiones Geographicae publishes the results of research of high interest in the following areas: physical geography, socio-economic geography, spatial economy and spatial planning, GIS and geoinformation, sustainable development (including regional and local growth), environmental science, and tourism and recreation. Submitted articles have a broad theoretical and methodological basis in the earth sciences, reviews and comparative studies of interest to international readers. Quaestiones Geographicae is released as an English-language quaternary by Bogucki Publishing House and electronically on the Sciendo platform. The journal is a joint venture of the Faculty of Geographical and Geological Sciences and the Faculty of Human Geography and Planning.
