Registration for language courses

The AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre is pleased to announce that on February 11, 2026 (Wednesday) at 9:00 a.m., token registration for foreign language courses will begin for students in their first and second years of full-time first-cycle studies and long-cycle studies, lasting until March 4, 2026 (Wednesday) by midnight.

Registration will take place in the usosweb.amu.edu.pl system.

Once logged into the USOSweb system, select the tab: FOR STUDENTS from the top bar, and then select the tab: TOKEN REGISTRATION on the left. After selecting the option: GO TO REGISTRATION, the groups assigned to a given faculty will be displayed.

Token registration will start at the following times:

  • Faculty of English – 9:00 a.m.
  • Faculty of Biology – 9:30 a.m.
  • Faculty of Chemistry – 10:00 a.m.
  • Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology – 10:30 a.m.
  • Faculty of Physics and Astronomy – 11:00 a.m.
  • Faculty of History, Faculty of Archaeology, Faculty of Arts Studies – 11:30 a.m.
  • Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science – 12:00 p.m.
  • Faculty of Geography and Geology, Faculty of Human Geography and Planning – 12:30 p.m.
  • Faculty of Political Science and Journalism – 1:00 p.m.
  • Faculty of Anthropology and Cultural Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Psychology and Cognitive Science, Faculty of Sociology – 1:30 p.m.
  • Faculty of Law and Administration – 2:00 p.m.
  • Faculty of Educational Studies– 2:30 p.m.
  • Faculty of Theology – 3:00 p.m.

First-year students receive a token for a given language at the appropriate level based on the placement test. Students who failed to complete the placement test will not receive a token.

Second-year students (except for the Faculty of English and the Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures – German Studies) receive tokens according to the following scheme:

  • a person who completed a B1 level language course in the winter semester of 2025/2026 will receive a token for level B2.1 in the summer semester of 2025/2026,
  • a person who completed a B2.1 level language course in the winter semester of 2025/2026 will receive a token for level B2.2 in the summer semester of 2025/2026,
  • A person who passed a B2.2 language course in the winter semester of 2025/2026 has completed a general language course and receives a token for a certification exam.

The token shall be awarded if the student has passed the language course in the winter semester (a positive grade entered into the USOS system).

Students in their second year of a major with a double language course, such as Psychology, were not awarded tokens for the general language course. For this major, the general language course ended in the winter semester of 2025/2026, and a specialised language course will be offered in the summer semester. A person who has passed a language course at the B2.2 level will receive a token for a specialised language course.

Second-year students at the Faculty of English obtain a token according to the following scheme:

  • a person who passed a Spanish language course in the winter semester of 2025/2026, in the summer semester of 2025/2026, receives a LEK-II-HIS token
  • A person who completed a French language course in the winter semester of 2025/2026 will receive a LEK-II-FRA token in the summer semester of 2025/2026
  • a person who passed a German language course in the winter semester of 2025/2026, in the summer semester of 2025/2026, receives a LEK-II-NIE token

The token will be awarded if the student has passed the language course in the winter semester (a positive grade entered into the USOS system).

Students of the Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures majoring in German philology are not required to register. The Coordinator will assign them to groups based on the results of a placement test.

NOTE: Students who do NOT register for a foreign language course during the registration period at usosweb.amu.edu.pl are required to submit an application to the AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre at the beginning of the semester to be enrolled in a foreign language group. A list of coordinators representing the AMU Foreign Language Teaching Centre is available at sj.amu.edu.pl. Based on the submitted application, the student will be enrolled by the USOS coordinator in a group with AVAILABLE PLACES!
