On 23 August, the Faculty of Chemistry hosted representatives from our partner university, Northwest Normal University (Lanzhou, China).
The delegation included:
- Mr Li Jianmin - vice president of the university;
- Prof Yang Baolin - Deputy Director of NWNU International;
- Ms Wang Yufang - dean of the art academy, and
- Mr Li Chengwang - deputy director of the Assets Management Division.
The AMU was represented by:
- Prof Tomasz Pędziński - head of the Department of Physical Chemistry,
- Prof. Marcin Frankowski - head of the Department of Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, and
- Dr Kostantyn Mazur - AMU International Relation Office
It was the first visit of our partners from Lanzhou to our university since the signing of the cooperation agreement in 2019. Until now, we have been able to host NWNU students as part of bilateral exchanges.
It is worth highlighting that the meeting with the officials from Northwest Normal University preceded the departure of six of our scholars to Lanzhou, all of whom were granted the status of visiting professors at the mentioned university.
Undoubtedly, the recent visit will positively influence the further cooperation between the two universities.
