The war in Ukraine is still ongoing, changing the lives of the Ukrainian people daily.
The military action in the east of Ukraine, combined with rocket fire on cities, has resulted in many universities and colleges, jointly with their academic staff, being relocated to safer regions of the state. The supervision of the temporarily moved institutions was assigned to universities operating in the western parts of the state. Thus, the Kherson State University was placed in Ivano-Frankivsk, formerly Stanislaviv, based on Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
To support the University's activities and its research staff, Prof. Maciej Franz, PhD, of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Prof. Adam Ostanek, PhD, of the Military University of Technology in Warsaw and Dr Mariusz Kardas of the Polish Naval Academy of the Heroes of Westerplatte in Gdynia initiated the 'Scientists for Scientists' campaign.
The campaign was conducted at the AMU Faculties, as well as among administrative staff. A total of three pallets of donations collected by our University, thanks to the support of AMU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rafał Witkowski, have officially reached their final destination - Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
