The student chooses the subject and the university - agreement of Poznań Public Universities

On 12 October 2023, an agreement was signed at the Poznań University of Economics by all Poznań public universities on the PoMost project. It is the first project of its type in Poland. It enables students to complete a chosen subject (except for PE and foreign language classes) at another university in Poznań. The exchange will be possible for first- and second-cycle students, master's degree students and International Students. The programme provides them with great opportunities to develop and broaden their horizons, as well as presents the unique cooperation and integration of Poznań's universities. The project launches in the summer semester.

The reasons for signing the agreement were explained by the Rector of UAM, Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska: 'This opens horizons, shows other teaching methods, introduces the student to a different environment. For some time now, we have been receiving signals that students are interested in sometimes listening to a lecture in a completely different field, or they also have very explicit demands for specific courses, for specific information, so I think that this is quite a way to meet students' expectations. We're doing it cautiously because of the disproportions between the universities, and we don't yet know the scale of interest.'

The signatories to the agreement are the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, Poznań University of Physical Education, Poznań University of Technology, Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Fine Arts, Poznań University of Economics and Business, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan Univu and Poznań University of Life Sciences.
