Trial access to the International Security & Counter-Terrorism Reference Centre (ISCTRC) database

The University Library announces the launch of trial access to the specialist International Security & Counter-Terrorism Reference Centre (ISCTRC) database, available on the EBSCO platform. The trial will run from March 3 to April 30, 2026.

The database is designed for professionals working in the following areas:

  • international security,
  • terrorism and counter-terrorism,
  • global politics and international relations,
  • strategic analysis,
  • military affairs and public administration.

The scope and content of the database

The International Security & Counter-Terrorism Reference Centre is an extensive, multidisciplinary source of information that includes:

  • over 2,500 full-text publications,
  • several thousand articles, reports and news services, including materials from centres such as Stratfor Analysis, Stratfor Forecasts and Stratfor Geopolitical Diary,
  • book summaries, frequently asked questions (FAQs), expert studies on terrorism and security,
  • scientific analyses enriched with comments from specialists representing numerous organisations and agencies,
  • over 10,800 photographs, maps and flags helpful in visualising international issues.

This database is a valuable tool for students, researchers, analysts, lecturers, and professionals involved in security and politics.
