The following day, the group visited John Cantius High School and the Board of Education in Poznań in Poznań, where they met with representatives of the institutions.
The highlight of the visit was a meeting with Professor Rafał Witkowski, AMU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, at which they discussed the differences between the education systems in Poland and Australia. The students could also share their observations on their visit to Poland.
The group visiting Poznań included lecturers and final-year Master of Education students. Thanks to the Erasmus + programme, they succeeded in organising a study visit to Europe as part of the subject Educational Systems in Europe and European Politics. The results in international rankings, the success of the systemic transition and the long-standing reforms of the education system in Poland position the Polish system as an engaging case study for students from Australia. Visits to schools, ministries and universities present them with the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the state of education.
