The Peter Lang publishing house has released a book edited by Dr Michał Paździora and Dr Michał Stambulski on "Democracy, Legal Education, and the Political", which is the aftermath of the 2017 Central and Eastern European Forum of Young Legal, Political and Social Theorists organised in Wrocław.
Among the papers written by 11 authors from Poland, Romania, Croatia, Hungary and Slovakia, there is an article written by Dr Michał Krotoszyński entitled: "Education and Democratic Values from the Transitional Justice Perspective", which focuses on the issue of internalisation of democratic values through education (including legal education). Its objective is to provide a theoretical basis for this phenomenon, while its main thesis is that its centrepiece is the transformation of the governed - previously objects of state violence - into citizens who are aware of their rights.
