Scientific Advisory Board at Adam Mickiewicz University

On 26 October, members of the Scientific Advisory Board at Adam Mickiewicz University met for the first time in person at Collegium Minus.

The SAB is an International Scientific Advisory Board tasked with learning about the most significant areas of Adam Mickiewicz University's operations and advising on their development. Its functioning is set in the University's statute. The SAB was appointed by the Rector of the Adam Mickiewicz University for the duration of her term of office.

The Scientific Advisory Board is composed of internationally renowned scientists. These include Prof. Julia von Blumenthal (Humboldt-Universität in Berlin), Prof. Dirk Inze (Ghent University), Prof. Jeremy Sanders (Cambridge University), Prof. Hans-Jochen Schewier (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg) and Prof. Michael S. Vitevich (University of Kansas).

The AMU is represented on the committee by the Rector, Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska, the Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Katarzyna Dziubalska-Kołaczyk, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Rafał Witkowski, and the Vice-Rector for Research Projects and Doctoral Studies, Prof. Przemysław Wojtaszek, along with a representative of PhD students and a representative of administrative units implementing tasks in the field of science.

The two-day SAB meeting is devoted, among other things, to the evaluation of the Excellence Initiative - Research University project, activities within the EPICUR consortium, and Adam Mickiewicz University's participation strategy in international rankings.
