Challenges and perspectives of cultural-historical psychology in neuropsychology
Luis Quintanar Rojas, Autonomous University of Tlaxcala

The lecture discusses fundamental principles of cultural historical psychology such as: cultural origin of development, systemic structure of psychological processes and the lines of cultural development expressed by gradual interiorization. In this conception, the proper unit for analysis of psychological phenomenon is psychological action as unique and indivisible structure. As for neuropsychology, correspondent unite of analysis might be expressed by functional system as dynamic and flexible representation of action on brain level. Neuropsychological syndromes might help to systematize developmental and learning difficulties according to identification of functional unfavorable stage of three functional brain blocks and their concrete cortical, subcortical and cortical-subcortical content according to A.R. Luria’s conception. Such general positions of cultural-historical psychology and neuropsychology should be reflected in methodology of research, assessment and diagnosis procedures and creation of programs for correction with lead to psychological development.

When neuropsychological correction leads to development?*
Yulia Solovieva, Autonomous University of Puebla, Autonomous University of Tlaxcala

Neuropsychology, as a science, studies possible relations between psychological processes and brain in cases of diverse pathologies in psychological development. Such kind of relations might be studies and understood profoundly during the process of correction of developmental difficulties. The lecture introduces the concept of neuropsychological correction, which leads to development using the famous Vigotsky’s expression regarding teaching, which leads to development. The lecture proposes the principles of such organization of neuropsychological correction are: 1) formation of weak functional mechanisms on the basis of strong mechanisms; 2) inclusion of this mechanisms into orientated psychological actions; 3) gradual interiorization of these actions; 4) creative work within rector activity correspondent to psychological age of each concrete child. We claim that neuropsychologists should work together with psychologists, teachers and parents for design programs for general development of child’s activity and personality instead of training of isolated cognitive functions procedures.
