The AMU Institute of Oriental Studies and the City of Poznań would like to invite you to an open lecture by the eminent Chinese calligrapher Zhang Chunqin, entitled "Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy". The event will take place on 27 April at 11:00 a.m. at the Exposition and Education Pavilion of the AMU Botanical Garden (entrance through the main gate from ul. Dąbrowskiego and through the door at the parking lot for visitors).
The lecture will be translated in real-time from Chinese into Polish.
We invite all enthusiasts of Asia, and especially China, to participate in the Chinese Culture Day after the open lecture
The program includes, among others:
- an exhibition of traditional Chinese calligraphy,
- lectures and presentations about Chinese culinary traditions,
- calligraphy workshops,
- traditional Chinese paper cutout workshops,
- presentation of traditional Chinese hanfu costumes,
- taijiquan (tai chi) shows and workshops,
- tea ceremony,
- opportunity to learn to play Chinese chess.
The day before, on 26 April at 4 p.m., there will be an opening ceremony for the exhibition on display at 4 p.m. in the AMU Botanical Garden's Exposition and Teaching Pavilion, which was jointly organised, by the AMU Institute of Oriental Studies, the AMU Confucius Institute, the AMU Botanical Garden and our Chinese partners - Jiangxi Science and Technology University, Jiangxi Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Jiangxi Calligraphers Association.
