The AMU Faculty of Ethnolinguistics and the Prof. Tadeusz Zgółka Foundation are pleased to invite you to participate in the International Conference ETHNOLINGUISTIC DEBATES “Language in Cultures, Cultures in Languages”,
which will be held on 15-16 September 2025 in Poznań.
Researchers in linguistics, cultural anthropology, sociology and cultural theory, literary studies, translation theory and practice are cordially invited to debate how language shapes cultural identity and conversely, how cultural contexts influence language use and development.
The conference aims to deepen understanding of the interplay between language and culture, to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration, to emphasise the significance of preserving linguistic (including diversity within a single language - polycentrism) and cultural diversity, and to explore the impact of technological advances on language and culture.
