The Physics Department cordially invites you to the following lecture in the Modern Trends in Physics Research series. The speech entitled "Quantum Dynamics beyond the Schrödinger Equation will be given by Prof. Dariusz Chruściński from the Institute of Physics, Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toruń, Poland, on 13 April 2023 at 13:00.
"I show in a pedagogical way how to describe quantum evolution which takes into account the nontrivial interaction of the system and its environment. Such evolution is no longer unitary and hence can not be described by the Schrödinger equation. An elegant solution to this problem provides another example of an intricate connection between physics and mathematics."
