From 8 to 15 May, we invite you to participate in the events organised as part of the 20th National Library Week. This year's edition will be held under the slogan "My, Your, Our - Library!".
Since 2004, the Polish Librarians' Association has been organising a nationwide action in May to promote reading and libraries - the Week of Libraries. The programme aims to emphasise the role of reading and libraries in improving the quality of life and education and increasing the prestige of the librarian's profession and interest in books among a wide range of society.
Every year, libraries of the organisational units of the Adam Mickiewicz University and the University Library in Poznan join the action. The programme includes exhibitions, lectures, workshops, meetings with authors, competitions and library tours.

Joint events
- 08-09.05.2023, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm - Charity book fair organised by the AMU faculty libraries at the Morasko Campus - the green area between the Faculty of Biology and the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism. Profits from the sale will be donated to the AMU account dedicated to helping families from Ukraine.

The exhibition presents well-known and fewer-known poems by the Nobel Prize winner, as well as their translations into foreign languages. Among the translators are the names of prominent figures: Pietro Marchesani, Júlio Gomes, Clara Cavanagh and Stanisław Barańczak.
