Women's and girls' participation in solving the problems of the modern world is rooted in their historical and recently confirmed attachment to values such as equality, peace and social development for the sake of future generations. Women's activism also has gender specificity resulting from gender differences, cultural specificity resulting from the world's ethnic, national, or religious diversity, and social specificity resulting from the place and role of women and girls in politically and economically diverse societies.
