CALL FOR PAPERS – XXXVI International Conference of Legal Clinics New Technologies – Interdisciplinarity – Evaluation in Clinical Education

The Legal Clinic (https://klinikaprawa.amu.edu.pl/) operating at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University, and the Foundation of University Legal Clinics invite you to actively participate in the XXXVI International Conference of Legal Clinics New Technologies – Interdisciplinarity – Evaluation in Clinical Education, which will be held in a stationary form in Poznań (the building of Collegium Iuridicum Novum – Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University) on 18-20 October 2024. We kindly ask you to submit your active participation by filling in the form available at the link: https://forms.gle/U884ozozjn4tXzHP6 . Speech topics with abstracts of up to 200-300 words are accepted until 30 July 2024.

The conference agenda and abstracts will be included in the conference booklet.

The conference aims to integrate law clinics and university legal clinics in Poland, Europe and the world, and to discuss the impact of new technologies, artificial intelligence on their contemporary models. The quality of the provision of legal pro bono services, student evaluation in clinical education, psychology of client contact and data protection will also be the subject of panel discussions.In addition to the classic panel discussions, we envisage the organisation of a so-called student round table, which will be an opportunity to discuss the current model of providing legal advice by students against the background of the free legal advice system operating in Poland, Europe and worldwide. In the application form, please indicate candidates for the round table discussion.

The subject matter of the Conference is interdisciplinary and international. We cordially invite authors to take up topics that provoke inspiring discussions and creative exchange of views. Speeches may be delivered in Polish and English.

The themes of the Conference panels will be:

– New technologies for clinical education – challenges, perspectives, risks,

– forms of activity of Law Clinics – Polish, European and global perspective,

– quality of legal pro bono service provision – challenges and prospects for Law Clinics in the coming years,

– student evaluation in clinical education,- Moot Court participation as a practical educational model for students,

– Artificial intelligence, machine learning and algorithms for education and legal aid,

– data protection of university legal aid clinics,

– psychology of contact with the client of university legal advice centres.
