Innovations emerging from laboratories and entering the economy, collaboration between science and business, and technologies addressing the challenges of the modern world – this is the vision for the second edition of the European Science Fair, scheduled for 26 to 29 May 2026 at the MTP Poznań EXPO. The event is co-organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań and the MTP Group.
A new feature of this year’s edition will be ‘duet stands’ – shared exhibition spaces for science–business teams and university or institute–enterprise partnerships. This format will demonstrate the whole innovation process: from the initial idea through research and testing, to applying the solution in a real-world business environment. In this way, the organisers aim to highlight the practical aspect of cooperation with the business sector and demonstrate that Polish science is responding more effectively to market needs. Scientists, research teams, universities, institutes, start-ups, spin-offs and all organisations developing modern solutions for the economy and society are invited to participate in the fair.
The event agenda will include not only the exhibition, but also panel discussions, seminars and stage presentations. Another significant element will be the presentations scheduled for 27 and 28 May 2026 from 11.00 a.m. in Hall 5. In a short, dynamic format, participants will be able to present innovative research projects, technologies ready for implementation, the results of collaboration between science and business, and solutions developed by start-ups and spin-off companies.
Projects representing a wide spectrum of disciplines will be presented on stage – ranging from the exact, natural, and engineering-technical sciences, through medical and life sciences, to the social sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary initiatives. It is an opportunity to present your achievements to industry representatives, potential business partners, investors, public administration, and institutions funding research and innovation.
The 2nd European Science Fair aims to be a platform not only for showcasing exciting solutions but also for fostering genuine meetings, discussions, and partnerships. Poznań will again be a place where science meets practice, allowing innovative ideas the opportunity to be developed and implemented. The event will once again be held in parallel with ITM Industry Europe and the Subcontracting industrial cooperation fair, bringing the worlds of research, technology and business even closer together. This is the environment in which it is most evident that today’s modern economy requires not only ambitious research but also effective mechanisms for its implementation. In the era of Industry 5.0, the importance of collaboration between science and business grows, with new technologies moving ever more rapidly from research teams to factories, companies and everyday business practice. The European Science Fair 2026 is intended to be a space where visitors can see this process up close – from the scientific idea to the finished implementation.
