Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, is the first academic centre in Poland to host the International Congress of Linguists (ICL), one of the most extensive events devoted to linguistics, organised for almost 100 years. The congress is scheduled to be held from 8-14 September 2024 in Poznań. The deadline for submitting abstracts is 1 February 2024.
The congress is co-organised by AMU (host of the congress) and the Permanent International Committee of Linguists (CIPL). The theme of this year's edition is 'Languages - Communities - Technologies'.
The Chair of the ICL 2024 Congress Organising Committee is the AMU Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Katarzyna Dziubalska-Kołaczyk, and the main organiser on behalf of the CIPL is Camiel Hamans, PhD.
The ICL 2024 Congress received honorary patronage from the Rector of the Adam Mickiewicz University - Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska, Marshal of the Greater Poland Voivodeship - Marek Woźniak and Mayor of the City of Poznań - Jacek Jaskowiak.
