A century of Brussels Polish Studies

On May 13 and 14, a conference was held at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) to mark the centenary of Brussels Polish Studies. The ceremony was attended by H. M. R. Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska, who, along with ULB Rector Annemie Schaus, offered congratulations and best wishes to the Polish Studies team, sharing a jubilee cake.

On May 13 and 14, a conference was held at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) to mark the centenary of Brussels Polish Studies. The ceremony was attended by H. M. R. The first day of celebrations concluded with a visit to the Polish embassy, hosting the delegation by chargé d'affaires Katarzyna Skórzyńska. Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska highlighted the cooperation between the Polish Studies Departments of the two Universities and thanked the head of Polish Studies at ULB, Prof. Dorota Walczak-Delanois, a graduate of Polish Philology at AMU, for her incredible activity, reflected in both teaching and research activities.

The guests included delegations from the faculties of Polish Studies from Wroclaw and Krakow, and the Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology at AMU, led by the Dean, Prof. Krzysztof Skibski.
