On Monday, 30 June, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, hosted a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Albania led by H.E. Ambassador Mimoza Halimi. The guests were received at the Rector's Office by the AMU Rector, Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska and the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Rafał Witkowski.
A diplomat from the Albanian Embassy, Ariel Halimi, and the Ambassador's assistant, Aleksandra Rosa, were also members of the delegation.
Beforehand, a meeting with Prof Rafał Dymczyk - Head of Interdisciplinary Individual Studies - and a discussion with the authorities of the Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology (WFPiK) took place: Vice-Dean Prof Konrad Dominas, Head of the WFPiK Institute of Slavonic Philology, Prof Patryk Borowiak and Dr Tatiana Ganekova from the IFS.
Topics discussed during the visit included a joint interdisciplinary Polish-Albanian research project, Albanian language classes at AMU, Polish language classes in Tirana, the creation of a joint consortium within CEPUS, closer cooperation with the University of Tirana and the transfer of knowledge in higher education to Albania.
