AMU is one of the highest-ranked universities in Poland in the THE World University Rankings 2026

In THE World University Rankings 2026, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, maintained its previous position in the 1001-1200 range. Once again, it is one of the highest-ranked universities in Poland.

This year, 2,191 universities from around the world were included in the ranking (99 more than last year), including 42 from Poland. AMU took fifth place in Poland (tied with the AGH University of Krakow, Gdańsk University of Technology, the Medical University of Gdańsk, the Medical University of Warsaw and the Silesian University of Technology).

The university's evaluation consisted of five main areas: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, International Outlook, and Industry. Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, increased its score in four out of five indicators. At the same time, in one (Research Environment), it achieved the equivalent score as the previous year.

In Poland, the highest places were taken by the following universities: Jagiellonian University (501-600), Medical University of Wrocław (501-600), University of Warsaw (601-800) and Medical University of Łódź (801-1000).

The World University Rankings 2026 were topped by the University of Oxford, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Princeton University.
