The Foundation for Polish Science has announced the list of laureates of the START competition for outstanding representatives of the young researcher generation. Ten people from Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, are among the winners.

- Michalina Kowala, AMU Faculty of Law and Administration, discipline: law;
- Dariusz Lewandowski, AMU Faculty of Chemistry, discipline: chemistry;
- Małgorzata Nowak, AMU Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology, discipline: literary studies;
- Daria Nowicka, AMU Faculty of Chemistry, discipline: chemistry;
- Gerard Ronge, AMU Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology, discipline: literary studies;
- Martin Solar, AMU Faculty of Physics and Astronomy, discipline: astronomy;
- Alexandra Staniewska, AMU Faculty of Anthropology and Cultural Studies, discipline: ethnology and cultural anthropology;
- Jakub Szewczyk, AMU NanoBioMedical Centre, discipline: materials engineering.
Notably, one of the laureates, Ms Michalina Kowala, was amongst the individuals awarded by the Foundation a distinction for candidates whose research achievements were assessed as outstanding by the competition reviewers. The second laureate, Alexandra Staniewska, was granted the Barbara Skarga Scholarship under the START programme.
The Foundation for Polish Science's START Programme is the oldest scholarship programme in Poland for the best young scientists representing all science disciplines. It aims to support outstanding young scholars and encourage their further scientific development. The winners and laureates of the START programme in the 2025 edition will receive an annual scholarship of PLN 30,000.
