Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, ranked third in the “promotional merchandise” category in the 13th edition of the nationwide Genius Universitatis competition. The jury commended the Bolesławiec mugs from the Botanica range, whose design is inspired by the Virginia creeper growing on the south-facing wall of the University Hall.
The awards ceremony was held on Friday, 13 March in Warsaw. The award was accepted on behalf of the university by Marta Grunwald, Head of the Promotion Section at the AMU Marketing Centre.
The distinguished mugs were created in cooperation between AMU and Zakłady Ceramiczne “Bolesławiec” – one of the oldest and most recognisable manufacturers of functional ceramics in Poland. The "Botanica" design, crafted by Poznań artist Anna Ziętkiewicz for the university, was transferred onto Bolesławiec ceramics in two colour variations.
