Call for applications for the E.MA programme is still underway

As a reminder, the call for applications for the E.MA programme is open until 16 April.

The European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) is a unique master's programme of the highest prestige, during which students have the chance to conduct studies on the theory and practice of human rights. The programme has been running for over 20 years in Venice and at 43 European Union universities, in addition to field missions. The E.MA programme offers the possibility to explore human rights, democratic processes and international relations from the perspectives of law, political science, history, anthropology and philosophy.

Throughout the first semester held in Venice, students participate in classes taught by eminent scholars and experts from all over the globe and officers from international organisations such as the UN, OSCE, Council of Europe or the European Union.

Following the completion of the first semester in a multicultural environment, programme participants transfer to a European university to prepare their thesis.

The E.MA degree programme is crowned by a globally unique European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation currently awarded jointly by the seven universities.

The best graduates are eligible for prestigious internships at the office of the Council of the European Union delegation and the European Commission at the United Nations in Geneva and New York. In addition, other distinguished laureates of the E.MA programme are offered internships in the institutions of the European Union, the Council of Europe, the OSCE and prominent international non-governmental organisations.

The E.MA programme is organised by the Global Campus of Human Rights. In Poland, it is coordinated by the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań in cooperation with the Poznań Human Rights Centre. Global Campus of Human Rights (GC) is the largest organisation of universities worldwide, with 100 universities operating in 7 Education Programmes around the globe.
