Cultural Diversity Day at AMU Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures 2025

On the 19th of May, the AMU Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures held a Cultural Diversity Day.

The Faculty's premises were filled with the tunes of African drums, Greek and Turkish dances, regional flavours from all over the globe, oriental and runic calligraphy workshops, quizzes, concerts, board games from various parts of the globe, presentations and expert meetings.

This is a day that is highly significant for our Faculty, which, as you know, is culturally and ethnically diverse,” said Prof. Andrzej Narloch, Dean of the AMU Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures.

"Cultural Diversity Days," organised by the AMU Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures, are an expression of our participation in the “World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development," established by the UN General Assembly Resolution 57/249 of 22 December 2002, by the Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity. Its purpose is to promote tolerance and respect for cultural diversity.
