During the World Congress of Dutch Studies in Brussels (25-29 August 2025), Dr Robert de Louw was elected to the board of the Internationale Vereniging voor Neerlandistiek (IVN), a position for which he ran as treasurer and active chair of the Comenius Association of Dutch Studies in Central Europe.
In the new IVN board, Dr de Louw will be vice-chairman and representative of Central Europe. Congratulations!
The IVN (Internationale Vereniging voor Neerlandistiek) is a global organisation founded in 1970, bringing together Dutch language specialists and promoting the Dutch, Belgian, Surinamese and Caribbean cultures and the Dutch language. The IVN currently has over 600 members from 40 countries. As a forum for individuals involved in Dutch studies at an academic level, IVN also influences the education of 13,000 students (statistics: TaalUnie.org).
