The Academic Consortium - City of Science Katowice and the European Commission invite scientists, students and PhD students from European universities and institutions to participate in EU TalentOn 2024 - a competition for young researchers.
EU TalentOn 2024 is a competition for young researchers (aged 21-35) from European countries and countries associated with Horizon Europe. The competition aims to attract bright young minds to propose new and creative solutions to the world's most challenging problems.
Participants will work in groups to create proposals in one of 5 scientific areas corresponding to the 5 EU missions of Horizon Europe (Adaptation to Climate Change, Cancer Prevention and Care, Restore our Ocean and Water, 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities, A Soil Deal for Europe).
Winners will receive cash prizes worth €75,000.
The competition is funded by the European Union and will be the flagship event of the European City of Science Katowice 2024 celebrations between 9-14 September 2024. Transport, accommodation and food costs will be covered by the European Commission.
