Humanitarian aid to earthquake-affected people in Turkey and Syria

The AMU Rector, Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska, and the entire community of our University express their solidarity with Turkey and Syria and all those affected by the earthquake. The Adam Mickiewicz University is supporting a donation campaign organised for those affected by the earthquake by the Turkish Ambassador to Poland, Cengiz K. Fırat.
Below we present his appeal:

Dear Compatriots / Friends from and in Poland,
We are very grateful for the help offered from abroad following the tragic earthquake that took place on 6 February this year in Kahramanmaraş-Pazarcık and covered a significantly wide area.
In this context, it is very crucial that the aid corresponds to the actual need. Below is a list of needed items, which we are constantly updating in consultation with the authorities in Turkey.
Articles donated as in-kind donations should be unused and suitable for winter conditions. Please do not donate second-hand articles. We ask private and institutional donors to donate items from the list below. Assistance in kind can be delivered to the following collection points:

In addition, the Turkish Embassy in Poland has also opened a PLN account with Santander Bank Poland to collect money for earthquake-affected Turkey. The funds collected will be donated to the Turkish Ministry of Interior Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency  - AFAD.
