Students from Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, participated in this year's International Student Team Competition in Mathematics, held from 7 to 9 November 2025 in Katowice.
The competition, organised by the University of Silesia, featured competitors from Austria, France, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan and the United Kingdom. On the first day of the competition, individual contests took place in three different categories. On the second day, the competitors competed in groups. The AMU representatives achieved excellent results in the individual competitions:
- Zofia Gołaska ( 3rd category) and Filip Pieczątkiewicz ( 2nd category) won silver medals,
- Viacheslav Slaboshpytskyi ( 1st category) received a bronze medal,
- Cezary Dudkiewicz ( 3rd category) and Tymon Tomczak ( 1st category) received honourable mentions.
The AMU Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Sciences (Cauchy-Schwarzbrot) team, in turn, won a bronze medal and third prize in the team competition. The contestants were supervised by Prof. Artur Michalak, also a member of the competition jury.
