Join a free Armenian language course at AMU!

On 15 April, the registration for a free Armenian language course at AMU opens. The classes will begin on 15 May and are open to students from AMU and beyond.

The course is organised by the Piramowicz Institute jointly with the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in Zabrze, the Armenian-Polish Social Committee and the Society of Polish Armenians.

For participation, the organisers welcome employees and students of universities, representatives of the Armenian minority and the majority society, including current and future employees of social welfare institutions and volunteers of non-governmental organisations.

The project aims to prepare the participant for basic use of the Armenian language (mainly in speech) in real-life situations. Learning writing and reading, expanding vocabulary, and knowing the Armenian alphabet will further strengthen the sense of Armenian identity among Armenian minority youth. Members of the majority society will be able to broaden their knowledge of Armenia's rich historical, cultural and literary heritage.

The course is scheduled from May to December 2024 (with a summer break) and will involve 72 hours of classes (36 - onsite, 36 - online). From 15 May until the end of June, the classes will be held online once a week (Wednesday at 18:00). From October, the course will continue at AMU in a stationary form.

PLEASE NOTE! The language of instruction shall be Polish!

The class group will comprise a minimum of 10 students, with no restrictions or requirements.

Applications will run from 15 April to 10 May this year.

To sign up for the course, please send an email to nunesrapyan@gmail.com

The project is funded by a grant from the Polish Ministry of the Interior and Administration
