Laureates awarded with Dr Jan Kulczyk scholarships

On 20 January, students from Poland and Ukraine were awarded Dr Jan Kulczyk Scholarships at the AMU Collegium Minus. The scholarship winners received congratulations from the AMU Rector, Professor Bogumiła Kaniewska, Dr Aleksander Broda from the Kulczyk Foundation, the Vice-Chairman of the Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation, Dr Marcin Śmiglak, and the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Teaching, Professor Joanna Wójcik.

On 16 December 2024, the competition's Chapter selected four doctoral students from Poland and ten laureates from Ukraine from among undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Dr Jan Kulczyk Scholarships: are awarded to students and doctoral candidates at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań for excellent academic results, outstanding academic achievements and activity for the benefit of the University.

The winners are doctoral students:

  • Tomasz Bartylak, BA, from the Doctoral School of Natural Sciences - the discipline of Biological Sciences
    Jan Denka, MA, from the Doctoral School of Social Sciences - discipline Legal Sciences
  • Marianna Kostecka, MA, from the Doctoral School of Social Sciences - discipline Social Sciences
  • Paulina Ratajczyk, MA from the Doctoral School of Science - discipline Chemical Sciences

Students:

  • Piotr Matczak from the Faculty of English, majoring in English Philology
  • Mirela Król from the Faculty of Biology, majoring in Biology
  • Wojciech Rogowski from the Faculty of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences, majoring in psychology
  • Jan Wójcik from the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy, majoring in Physics.

The scholarships awarded, payable over 9 months, are - for a doctoral student: PLN 2,700 per month, and a student: PLN 1,300 per month.

Dr Jan Kulczyk Scholarships for AMU students - citizens of Ukraine. The programme aims to support Ukrainian students in complex political, social and economic situations. From among the best Ukrainian students of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan (average grade of at least 4.5), the Chapter selected 10 laureates.

  • Ivan Davydenko from the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy, majoring in physics,
  • Roman Dorosh from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Fine Arts in Kalisz, majoring in Visual Arts education,
  • Olena Romaniv from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Fine Arts in Kalisz, majoring in Music Education,
  • Kateryna Shyiko from the Faculty of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences, majoring in Psychology,
  • Veronika Shymoniuk from the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism, majoring in Public Governance,
  • Marta Skorodziievska from the Faculty of Psychology and Cognitive Science, majoring in Cognitive science

Second-cycle students:

  • Alona Fomenko from the Faculty of Educational Studies, majoring in Pedagogy, speciality Early Child Development Support,
  • Uliana Oliinyk from the Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology, majoring in Polish as a foreign language,
  • Varvara Vonsovych from the Faculty of Biology, majoring in biotechnology,
  • Maksym Yunash from the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism, majoring in International Relations.

The amount of scholarships payable for 9 months is as follows: PLN 1,000 per month for a student of a first-cycle and long-cycle programme and PLN 1,200 per month for a student of a second-cycle programme.
