Do you dream of studying in Venice and pursuing a career at the United Nations or within the European Union? The prestigious European Master’s Programme in Human Rights & Democratisation (E.MA), coordinated in Poland by Adam Mickiewicz University, is now open for applications. It is an opportunity to acquire knowledge from world experts, earn a European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation, and complete an internship in Geneva or New York. Candidates from Poland can apply for a dedicated scholarship – check the details and join the online information meeting!

E.MA is a unique Master's programme that offers students the opportunity to study the theory and practice of human rights. The programme has been running for over 20 years in Venice and at 42 universities in the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, as well as on field missions. The E.MA programme offers the opportunity to explore human rights, democratic processes and international relations from the perspectives of law, political science, history, anthropology and philosophy.

During the first semester in Venice, students participate in classes taught by distinguished scholars and experts from around the globe, as well as officials from international organisations such as the UN, OSCE, Council of Europe and European Union. After completing the first semester in a multicultural environment, programme participants move to one of the European universities, where they prepare their thesis.

The E.MA programme culminates in a globally unique European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation, currently awarded jointly by seven universities.

The best graduates can count on prestigious internships at the offices of the European Union Delegation and the European Commission to the United Nations in Geneva and New York. Other outstanding E.MA programme graduates are offered internships at European Union institutions, the Council of Europe, the OSCE and major international non-governmental organisations.

The E.MA programme is organised by the Global Campus of Human Rights and coordinated in Poland by the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań.
