n Affective Computing Group has been formed at the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, led by Dr Maciej Behnke from the AMU Faculty of Physics and Astronomy.
This unique ‘inter-centre’ research team was established by the Vice-Rector, Prof. Michał Banaszak, at the request of the Director of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Prof. Krzysztof Jassem, and the Director of the Centre for Cognitive Neuroscience, Prof. Michał Klichowski.
The group’s leader, Dr Behnke, notes that its creation strengthens cooperation between the two centres and provides a space for interdisciplinary research into emotions involving modern technologies, artificial intelligence and advanced data analysis.
- “Here, we will develop technologies that are more responsible and better suited to human needs, while using AI to conduct even better research with human participants,” explains Dr Behnke.
- “We want to demonstrate once again the immense potential of interdisciplinary collaboration, the kind that is possible within our university,” adds Prof. Klichowski.
