The 4th AMU SAB meeting was held on June 12-13, 2025, under the motto "Research priorities at the AMU: a strategic perspective." The event brought together members of the AMU Scientific Advisory Board, representatives of the Rectors' Authorities, the University Science Council, heads of Priority Research Areas and guests, including ERC grant winners and student government representatives.
The first day, hosted at the AMU Faculty of Political Science and Journalism, covered issues such as the role of the University Science Council in evaluating research and publication activities, international best practices and the assumptions of the new AMU and Research Univeristy Excellence Initiative strategy. The event included a discussion on the challenges of developing research priorities and building an environment conducive to scientific excellence.
The second day, held at the Collegium Minus, was devoted, among other things, to a dialogue with representatives of the AMU Student Government, centring on the role of artificial intelligence in academic practices and the development of research activity at the undergraduate level. The session concluded with a plenary discussion between SAB members and the Rector's team, led by Prof Bogumiła Kaniewska, followed by a summary of the work and plans for future meetings.
The next scheduled meeting is planned for February- March 2026.
