From 22 to 26 June 2026, the AMU Faculty of Physics and Astronomy will host The European Conference PHYSICS OF MAGNETISM 2026 (PM’26) – one of the most significant international conferences dedicated to magnetism and magnetic materials in the broadest sense. This event will celebrate the 18th edition of a series launched in 1975, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the conference.
The conference serves as a recognised forum for the dissemination and discussion of the latest research findings, ideas and trends in areas such as magnetic structures and dynamics, spintronics, orbitronics and magnonics, strongly correlated electron systems, topological magnetism, nanostructures and interfaces, as well as applications of magnetism in energy, medicine and quantum technologies.
The conference features plenary lectures by leading experts from around the world, such as Nobel Prize winner in Physics Klaus von Klitzing, thematic parallel sessions, poster presentations, and opportunities for in-depth discussion, networking and the establishment of international collaborations.
PM'26 is co-organised by the Institute of Molecular Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the AMU Faculty of Physics and Astronomy. Previous conferences have attracted several hundred participants worldwide.
Further details are available on the conference’s official website: https://www.ifmpan.poznan.pl/pm26.
