Three more asteroids named after our astronomers

We are pleased to announce that in the latest edition of Bulletin of the Working Group on Small Bodies Nomenclature, three asteroids have been named by the International Astronomical Union in honour of the employees of the AMU Astronomical Observatory Institute .

The planetoid (30254) Kamiński was named in recognition of Dr Krzysztof Kamiński's merits as the designer of robotic telescopes forming part of the Global Astrophysical Telescope System network, while no. 30569 Dybczyński was named in recognition of the excellence of AMU Prof. Piotr Dybczyński's research into the dynamics of comets. Asteroid no. 32261 Podlewskagaca is devoted to Dr Edyta Podlewska-Gaca, who is successfully involved in the observations, and modelling of asteroids, using both, ground-based and orbiting telescopes in space.
