Where poppies grow, a story of solidarity begins..

The Opening Ceremony of the Red Poppy Foundation exhibition

On 20 October, an exhibition showcasing the origins of the Red Poppy Foundation was launched in the main hall of the University Library in Poznań.

At the heart of the exhibition are volunteers, medics, soldiers, residents – people who bring assistance in the shadow of conflict, often risking their personal safety. Their faces, stories and emotions shape the core of this exhibition. They demonstrate that even in the most challenging moments, it is possible to stay a shining light for others.
The exhibition features photographs, reports and memories from places where everyday aid is provided – from frontline areas, towns, villages and medical centres.

The event also featured a lecture entitled ‘The Paths of Volunteering in Ukraine’ given by Piotr Marcinkowski, a volunteer from the Red Poppy Foundation. He shared his experiences from humanitarian missions with the participants.

The exhibition can be seen in the main hall of the Poznań University Library until the end of October.
