The 51st edition of the Poznań Linguistic Meeting will be held in the building of the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism on September 8-10, 2022.
It is organized by the Faculty of English, and the organizing committee is headed by AMU's Vice-Rector for Research, prof. Katarzyna Dziubalska-Kołaczyk.
This year's leitmotif is What can linguists offer to AI? Unique contributions of linguistics to science and beyond.
Scientists from around the world will come together to explore the relationship between linguistics and artificial intelligence, as well as the role of linguistics in the digital revolution. A number of thematic sessions focusing on specific aspects of linguistic research are also planned.
The conference will feature a special lecture by Alexandra Aikhenvald (CQ University Australia) and two plenary lectures delivered by Krzysztof Jassem (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan) and Johann-Mattis List (Department of Linguistic and Cultural Evolution, MPI-EVA, Leipzig).
