The Canadian Literature Research Unit at the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań,
invites everyone to the 16th edition of
Canada Week (23-27 March 2026)
Canada Week comprises a series of lectures on the history, literature, and culture of Anglophone and Francophone Canada, along with other events that promote Canadian studies and Canada itself.
This year, the main events of Canada Week include:
- three sessions of academic lectures delivered by guests from other institutions, as well as Canadian studies scholars from AMU;
- two sessions of student presentations;
- a meeting with Canadian politician of Polish descent Thomas Lukaszuk and Joanna Bogusławska (Agatha Rae)—co-author of the book Pozdrów Reagana, an auto/biography of Lukaszuk published in February this year;
- a screening of the film Pride Vs. Prejudice: The Delwin Vriend Story (2024) with an introductory talk.
All events will take place in AULA, Collegium Heliodori, ul. Grunwaldzka 6, Poznań. The lectures and talks can be watched online via Zoom (registration required) and on the Faculty of English Facebook page.
