Join us for the conference “Space Law at a Crossroads: Sustainability, Commercialisation and the Future of Space Governance”
As part of this year’s European Rounds of the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition, the Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań will also host an academic and expert conference entitled “Space Law at a Crossroads: Sustainability, Commercialisation and the Future of Space Governance.”
The conference will begin on 9 April 2026 at 17:00 in the Auditorium Maximum of the Faculty of Law and Administration, AMU, and will focus on some of the most important contemporary challenges of space law, in particular the commercialisation of space activities, the role of new actors in the space sector and New Space, as well as issues related to the sustainable governance of outer space.
The event has been designed as a conference structured around two moderated expert panels, based on open discussion of the panel themes and preceded by brief introductory remarks from the invited experts.
The conference will feature the following experts: Prof. Mahulena Hofmann, André Frand, Prof. Katarzyna Malinowska, Niklas Hedman, Dr Kaja Hopej, Dr Merve Erdem Burger, Martin Reynders, Dr Rosa Manzo, Cecile Gaubert, and João Marques de Azevedo
The conference will be moderated by Adrian Kaczmarek – PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law and Administration AMU, and initiator of the event – together with Juliana Wiśniewska, President of the Lex Ad Astra Student Society AMU.
