We invite students and staff of our University to join the annual ‘SPRING WARM-UP AT AMU’ event. The organisers are: the AMU Physical Education and Sports Centre, the AZS UAM Poznań University Club, and the AMU Student Council.
SPRING WARM-UP AT AMU is an event aimed at promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle among the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, community
Participants' task is to cover as many kilometres as possible over the course of the month (from 4 April to 4 May 2026), which will be assigned to the AMU Faculty or where they study or work. This year, the display of GPS tracks (a detailed map showing your movements) has been disabled in the publicly available results. Each participant can check their individual track in their account.
There are several physical activities to choose from:
- cross-country running
- cross-country walking (a stroll)
- cycling
- Nordic walking
rollerblading
An event participant may open the app multiple times at any time during the “SPRING WARM-UP AT AMU” by selecting different activities.
HOW TO REGISTER?
Create an account on the DataSport system.
DataSport is an external platform for the technical management of sporting events. Go to www.datasport.pl and register. You can enable the "private account" option while creating your profile. If you select this option, other users won't be able to see the details of your GPS routes (a detailed map view of your run). This setting is optional – you do not need to activate it to create an account or participate in the SPRING WARM-UP. Both your computer and your mobile phone can be used for this purpose.
Log in using the details you provided when registering on the DataSport website.
Join the competition
Click on the registration link and sign up for “WIOSENNY rozRUCH na UAM” (registration opens on 4 April).
PRIZES
A special cup will be awarded to the Dean of the Faculty whose students and staff have collectively covered the most kilometres. Individual mystery prizes are also planned.
ELIGIBILITY
Students and staff of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, are eligible to participate in the event. Students must hold a valid student ID card. Each participant represents a Faculty or other unit of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan (to be selected during registration). Only those individuals who are at least 18 years of age on the day of their race are eligible to participate.
FINAL PROVISIONS
Due to the remote nature of the event, we encourage participants to adhere to the principles of fair play. The organiser reserves the right to send participants information regarding the SPRING WARM-UP AT AMU and other organised events, and for internal administrative and analytical purposes. The organiser reserves the right to amend these rules. The organiser shall decide on any matters not covered by these rules.
