The poster for the 17th UNIVERSITAS CANTAT International Festival announces the event in Poznań from 9–16 May 2026, featuring a photograph of the choir members and a list of the countries represented by the university ensembles.

We are pleased to invite you to the 17th UNIVERSITAS CANTAT International Festival – one of the most significant choral events organised by Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań and the AMU Chamber Choir.

Since 1998, the festival has brought together university choirs, vocal, instrumental and dance ensembles from all over the world in Poznań, creating a space for musical encounters and the exchange of cultural experiences. Over 200 musical groups and around 8,000 performers from nearly 40 countries have performed at previous editions of UNIVERSITAS CANTAT.

This year’s programme includes, amongst other things, open singing workshops, gala concerts, accompanying events and a final concert. Festival participants will present a diverse repertoire, including music from their own countries, while the final concert will feature the world premiere of Zuzanna Falkowska’s ON/OFF for voices, mixed choir, band and live electronics.

This year’s festival will begin on 9 May in Poznań. Choirs from the United States, Hungary, Germany and North Macedonia have been invited to take part, along with Polish ensembles. Concerts and accompanying events will be held in various venues across Poznań and Greater Poland.

Admission to all events is free of charge. Registration is required for the workshops and the closing concert.

A detailed event programme and information on registration are available on the festival website: cantat.amu.edu.pl.
