24 February marks the anniversary of Russia's attack on Ukraine. To express solidarity with the Ukrainian people, the Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology, in cooperation with the Barak Kultury Foundation and the Polish Theatre in Poznań, invites you to the Ukrainian Days "Ukraine 2022-2023", which will be held from 24-26 February 2023. A unique programme of events will showcase various aspects of Ukrainian life in the face of Russia's aggression against their country.
Join us for exhibitions, performances, happenings and a panel discussion with volunteers travelling to Ukraine with humanitarian aid. The official opening of the Ukrainian Days and Marcin Staniewski's photo exhibition 'Ukraine 2022-2023' will be carried on 24 February at 10.00 a.m., in the main hall of Collegium Maius by Prof. Tomasz Mizerkiewicz, Dean of Faculty of Polish and Classical Philology.

The Hague is a trial in progress. Ten convicted top Russian leaders spend time in a Dutch prison, wondering who to blame. Shoygu sadly recalls going fishing with Putin in the taiga, Simonjan recalls threatening Poland with an atomic bomb, and Patrushev airs a conspiracy that the US is poisoning them with biological weapons
biological weapons. Surovikin's canteen is running out of sausages. Kovalchuk counts on political connections in Europe. Surkov has come to terms with the situation. Kadyrov worries about wives and limousines.
And Putin sees ghosts. During interrogations, they begin to betray each other. Matviyenko drinks out of boredom. Prigozhin feels at home in prison - he is not here for the first time.
The trial begins, and one by one, the criminals lose their temper.
Who will they blame for the bombing of Ukraine, the massacres, the deportation of children, and the torture and death of Ukrainians? At the same time, there are witnesses to this terrible war - Russian soldiers who committed atrocities, and Ukrainians who lost their loved ones...
What the verdict will be - depends on the audience and the Ukrainian girl who tells the story.

Zywot - in Slavic languages means stomach, as a part of the body, while the original meaning of the word is "life".
So in the performance Żywot we touch upon traditions, mythologies and rituals related to different stages of women's lives, as they (we) are the true guardians of the lineage and the tree of life.
We have created our story about the sensations accompanying women at different stages of life. The audience will see on stage our versions of the rituals associated with growing up
girlhood, childbirth, and honouring ancestors. Our inspiration comes from the myths, epics, rituals and ethnic music of the Eastern Slavs. In the performance, we speak and sing in three Slavic languages - Belarusian, Polish and Ukrainian. Our reaction to the war in Ukraine was to strengthen the Ukrainian side of the story. Now each of us is Ukrainian and stands with Ukraine on the side of justice, peace, and life. The war
has caused us to strengthen our relationship with Ukrainian and Belarusian refugees coming to Poland. We live in an intercultural melting pot of Ukrainian, Belarusian and Polish, which is why the performance is in these three languages. The performance is in these three languages.
