Department of Scandinavian Studies
The Department is one of the few centres in Poland specializing in the Scandinavian language area.
It carries out a very wide range of research work in fields such as Scandinavian and general linguistics, Scandinavian literature, and the history and culture of Scandinavian countries.
This research leads to a large number of publications.
The Department is involved in international research and partnership programmes, as well as organizing regular international scientific meetings.
