European and International Law
2-year full-time master program in English with an opportunity for a mobility path and a triple degree!
This programme provides an in-depth understanding of how European and international legal systems operate. Our students learn to critically engage with the legal challenges of European integration and international relations, and to analyse and evaluate public and state policies affecting the functioning of the international community.
The programme offers an advanced and interdisciplinary curriculum covering key areas of a international and European law. Core subjects include international law and protection of human rights, judicial protection in Europe, humanitarian protection and European security, with a strong focus on procedural issues connected to judicial protection and legal cooperation between EU Member States. The students will learn to work with European and international law in their legal practice. The students will also learn about different methods of dispute settlement and the new challenges for legal systems, including in the area of cybersecurity, intellectual property, and climate change.
Throughout the programme, students will develop strong analytical, research, and practical skills, enabling their understanding of how European and international legal norms shape law, governance, economy, and society. A wide range of elective courses allows tailoring the studies to individual academic or professional interests.

Option of a Triple Master in European Geopolitics, International Security and Law (EGISL)
The students of European and International Law Master’s programme are also eligible to apply for an EPICUR program: Master in European Geopolitics, International Security and Law (EGISL) jointly delivered by AMU, University of Southern Denmark and the Université de Strasbourg (France). This program focuses in depth on international and European law, international security and law and international relations: geopolitics, borders and territorial diplomacy. It equips students with international experience to become experts dealing with contemporary challenges for Europe, at the highest level. This program is based on students’ mobility: participants start their program in Poznań, then move to Odense in Southern Denmark for the second semester, and to Strasbourg in France. AMU students return to Poznań to complete their degree in the final semester. It is a unique opportunity to get a triple diploma from each partner university to start an international career!

- are equipped with advanced research, analytical, and practical skills essential for understanding and shaping today’s global legal and political environment; including using modern research methods and data collection skills to analyse and model social and institutional processes in Europe and worldwide;
